Steering

Every part of the steering has been modified from standard by us for better handling, safety and driver comfort. Our race set-up consists of a multi-link steering column and an original Triumph steering rack that is modified to reduce bump steer.
By using a multi-link column instead of a one piece column and mounting it using spherical bearings attached to the bulkhead and chassis, the steering wheel can be mounted exactly to the driver’s preference. It also removes the uncomfortable offset that the cars originally had. As standard we fit a Lifeline FIA quick release steering wheel boss, however this can be changed to a standard splined end for road use if required.
Both the TVR Grantura MK3, and TVR Griffith 200/400, originally used Triumph steering racks, however, new ones have become very hard to find. We source used Triumph Herald and Spitfire steering racks which we then shorten and refurbish. If you already have a steering rack that is in a usable condition, we can shorten and refurbish with new ends for you.
